Air-cooled is Proof Men are Simple!

Thursday, February 1st, 2007

With the world being as complex as it is, I strongly believe men are the simpliest aspect of its complexities. Think about it, you are a single guy, you own your own place, then you find yourself in a relationship. One thing leads to the next and you are living together and married. This is when things change from pure and simple to difficult and complex. Out of no where, you start hearing chatter about how the house needs to be restored. So, you take out a loan and you start remodeling your house for the first time since you bought it. The world has now become super complex. The house that you once owned turned in to a debt that you have to maintain or risk loosing because it is now really owned by the bank to secure the remodeling loan.
Your belove Beetle that has driven you and your date (now your wife) to the best of best movies. The Beetle that had driven both of you almost around the world and she expressed her love for doing such great traveling. Now that she is NOW living in your place and occupying 70% of your space, it is time to sell the Beetle and get something NEW. The complaints start to roll in about how hot the car is during the summer or how unsafe it would be if you had a baby. If you think about how simple this car is and why we love it so much, you would by default conclude that we (US MEN) are a simple speices. When VW built the suspension of the Beetle, they didn’t want to build some crazy complex suspension system. A simple solution was to put the suspension partly in the springs of the seat. Simple solution for a simple car and US men appreciates it the most!

Damn it! I will not sell my Beetle. Let me be SIMPLE WOMAN! :-)

I have been working on my project for a couple of years and I’ve pulled off a few parts I have no idea where they came from. Has any Volksblog.com readers ever seen these parts before?

Rocket Bullet #2It has been raining for the past few weeks in the North East (NYC). All the Volkswagen shows are getting hit hard this year by rainfall. I am planning toRocket Beetle #1 go out to Bug-O-rama #5 in Las Vagas at the end of the month (September 31, 2006). This will be my first mid-west VW show. I was surfing the web and ran across this craziest New Beetle I’ve ever saw.
