I was thinking today, am I going to be able to turn my passion for detailing into a business. I got into it a few years ago, buy starting out just tinkering around with VW's. I carbon fibred my first part about 18 months ago, it was the wing mirrors, they looked really cool. from then I have done bits and pieces for friends and their friends and covered my costs. ~Now my friend is part owner of VW Anticks and I have picked up some more business. Now I want to do some more......

I was just noticing how long it has been since last post. EEK. I really haven't gotten much more done since that time. I have been working like a dog at the Church, so haven't had the time.
Anyway, I did get the entire front beam back on and together, as well as the front brake assembly.
I am planning to get some more done soon, now that it has cooled down in TX, so dont give up on me! |

I saw this nice old Porsche Carrera on Atlantic Avenue In Brooklyn. I thought I'd share a few pictures of this pretty baby! Take a look.

So, I've manged to install window seals on my Beetle
This was the easy part. Reason being, the rear window is more or less symmetrical. Meaning it is not like the front in which it curves inward. They sell window seals with the rubber pre-formed, but since I already purchased the ones I have, i'm trying to make it work. Anyone has any tips, that would be apprciated.

So I have been very busy trying to get my baby on track. I just replaced the plugs, generator ( I figured it out), coil, points, etc...etc.... The only thing that has giving me grief is the damn condenser. That little cylinder thing on the side of the distributor. I finally tracked the right one (I hope). The next step after this is to fix my rear hatch, which the parts are on their way, and then I can drive it to work. I can't wait to get her ready for the Summer!!! |

I was in the UK for about a week and I only seen one VW on the street. I spent most of my time in London, drove 2 hours north and 1 hour south and suprisingly I only seen one VW. What is the deal? I thought the VW scene in the UK was hot? I know they push out two kick-butt magazines that I read often, but I was suprised at how few Vintage Volkswagens are on the streets.

I want to replace the generator, the problem is that I have never done this. I researched how to do this, I was hoping if anybody has tips on how to do this. Any help is appreciated.
