New to this world!!!
So I bought a 1969 Squareback a couple of month’s ago. It’s in decent shape, except for a ding on the passenger headlight (easy fix). I drove it home and the drive changed my life. This car is great…I noticed the difference immediately. I also notice something else. As I was driving around my neighborhood on a lovely Sunday morning there were other VW’s in the area. Every one I met trough the streets showed mutual respect. I passed a bus and the driver tipped his hat…..as if I was part of a new society. Then I realized that I’m a VW driver now. Unfortunately one day it didn’t start and I have tried to make it work again, but with no avail. One day it will be back on the road and I only wish it would be today…so I could be driving instead of writing.

Welcome to the VW world. I had that same feeling 10 years ago. I purchased my first Beetle. It was candle apple red. Guys in Mercedes Benz car often go pissed because their very expensive cars couldn’t keep their girlfriend from staring at my in my VW.
